Is Internet Security the right edition?
Choose this edition for a Windows PC that needs antivirus, a configurable firewall and parental controls together. For local file encryption or a performance tuner, compare Total Security in our G DATA range. A longer term changes the licence duration, not the feature set.

What the Windows software includes
The firewall checks incoming and outgoing connections. BankGuard targets manipulation of the browser during banking and shopping; it is not a separate banking browser. Anti-spam filters unwanted mail, while parental controls let you set browsing times and permitted websites.
DeepRay adds AI-based malware detection and BEAST monitors suspicious behaviour independently of virus signatures. Ransomware protection is also included. VPN and identity protection are separate options, not included benefits of this key.
For Windows, G DATA lists 2 GB RAM, approximately 5 GB free storage and an x86/x64 processor. Installation and updates require internet access. Windows on ARM is not listed in these requirements.
Download, activation and first checks
- Download Internet Security from the official link in your delivery email and run the installer.
- Select full-version activation, enter the new registration number and complete the requested details. Keep the username and password sent by G DATA.
- Restart, update virus signatures and check the licence expiry date. Use those same credentials for a reinstall or additional licensed PCs.
A registration number is used once: do not register it again on each PC. If “licence invalid” appears after a password reset, update the password stored in the application too. If activation still fails, send Licendi the error message.
Updates and the end of your subscription
The licence has a fixed term; the application shows the expiry date for virus updates. Renew before it expires to retain entitlement to current updates. G DATA offers an optional renewal service during activation: check what you select.
Questions before buying
Can I transfer protection to a new PC?
Yes. Sign in on the replacement PC with your G DATA credentials. If the device allowance is full, remove the old device in My G DATA and run a signature update on the new one.
Does it work on Windows 7 or 8?
G DATA lists Windows 7 SP1, 8.1, 10 and 11, not Windows 8.
Is this Total Security?
No. Internet Security includes the firewall and parental controls, but the local encryption and performance tuner belong to Total Security.
