CyberGhost VPN is a fixed-term VPN subscription for people who want to encrypt their internet connection on computers and mobile devices. You receive an activation key and official download link by email, then redeem the key in a CyberGhost account before signing into the apps.
- Choose 1, 2 or 5 years from activation.
- Variants for 5 or 7 devices.
- Apps for Windows, macOS, Android and iOS.
- Email delivery with a PDF VAT invoice.
- Licendi includes a 1-month activation guarantee.
Which CyberGhost subscription should you choose?
Count the devices you need and select the term separately: a longer subscription does not increase the device allowance. Choose the five-device option for up to five devices, or the seven-device option if you need more. These are the allowances sold here, even though CyberGhost's general subscription pages advertise seven simultaneous connections.
If your main concern is scanning downloaded files for malware, compare our antivirus and security software. CyberGhost's Windows antivirus suite and dedicated IP are separate add-ons; neither is included in this listing.
What arrives with your key?
| Device allowance | Available terms from activation | Format |
|---|---|---|
| 5 devices | 1 year, 2 years or 5 years | Digital activation key |
| 7 devices | 1 year, 2 years or 5 years | Digital activation key |
Licendi emails the key and official download link instantly during office hours, or within 24 hours outside them. A PDF invoice showing VAT is included. For several subscriptions, request a quote by email or chat.
Privacy features and their limits
- WireGuard, OpenVPN and IKEv2 are supported, with availability depending on the platform.
- The kill switch blocks internet traffic if the VPN connection drops.
- Android can exclude selected apps from the tunnel; Windows offers website exceptions. Excluded traffic bypasses VPN protection.
- CyberGhost lists servers in 100 countries, including servers optimised for streaming and P2P. This is not a promise that every streaming service will work.
CyberGhost reports a no-logs audit by Deloitte Audit Romania in 2025. This concerns its VPN infrastructure and controls; it is not a guarantee of anonymity on websites where you sign in.
Redeem your activation key
- Create or sign into your CyberGhost account in a browser.
- Open profile, Account settings, then Use your activation key; enter the code and select Use.
- Download the app, sign in with that account and connect to a server.
A redeemed key cannot be reused: sign in with your account on additional devices. If a new key fails, contact Licendi by email or chat with the error message. Within the 1-month activation guarantee, support helps or replaces a key that does not activate.
Term, expiry and ongoing access
Your selected 1-, 2- or 5-year term starts at activation. Check the expiry date in your account. Once that term ends, continued VPN access requires an active subscription. Keep the apps updated and check current operating-system compatibility before installation.
CyberGhost key questions
Can a key extend my existing subscription?
Prepaid keys cannot extend plans bought through CyberGhost's website or app stores. Check eligibility before buying.
Does the key include a dedicated IP?
No. This listing covers the VPN subscription for the device allowance and term selected.
Is a key the same as a coupon?
No. A prepaid key activates the purchased subscription; it is an alternative to searching for a discount code.
Does CyberGhost's 45-day refund cover this purchase?
No. That direct-purchase refund offer does not cover third-party keys. Licendi provides its own 1-month activation guarantee.
