Microsoft Teams applications will soon be available in Office for Windows

Microsoft's new enterprise chat and communication platform will be fully integrated into the Office 365 family as its apps will soon be bundled with Office and the Portal app for Windows.

For some time, Teams has apparently been run in parallel with Microsoft's Office 365, as its own productivity platform with Office features and integrations to support it.
This should help to improve the user experience for Teams customers around the world, i.e. it is no longer necessary to switch between platforms to use certain applications. In this way, the company aims to further expand the reach of its video conferencing service.

The roadmap entry indicates that this feature could be an important selling point for many Office users who are frustrated by the constant changes.

"Users will be able to purchase and use these updated Teams apps (with personal tabs) without leaving Office.com or the Office for Windows app," the post says.
Microsoft Teams offers a variety of apps for users who want to enrich their video calls and collaboration with options such as task management, surveys and even tools for mindfulness and good behaviour.

The update is available to some Microsoft Insiders as a preview as the company tries to test the software and fix any issues. The global release is planned for December 2022.

Microsoft Teams has made a steady programme of updates and improvements over the last few months to ensure the platform remains the best.
The latest features include controlling calls via Bluetooth devices, merging work and business accounts and controlling screen sharing on different clients.
Microsoft Teams continues to grow: the company's latest figures show that the service now has more than 270 million monthly active users (MAUs).

Microsoft Teams Review

Recent data from software company StarLeaf shows that almost all companies (97%) consider tools such as Zoom, Webex and Teams to be indispensable to their work.
More than half (57%) of the 2 000 people surveyed in Germany said that their company could not work for more than an hour without access to their communication tools, while 27% admitted that they could not even function for 30 minutes.

In short, Teams shares apps built directly for Teams with Office.com and the Office Portal, allowing users to use apps like Trello, Viva, Wiki, PowerBI, Stream, GitHub, Power Automate, Poll Everywhere and even YouTube, all from Office.com or the Office Portal on Windows.
