Is this the right version for you?
It suits local document work when you want a suite without a subscription. If your organisation requires Microsoft Word, Excel or PowerPoint themselves, choose a suitable Microsoft Office edition. File-format support alone is not evidence that your macros, add-ins or company workflows will work unchanged.

Tools and practical limits
Ashampoo lists three modules: TextMaker for writing, PlanMaker for spreadsheets and Presentations for slides. Its product page also uses the names Write, Calculate and Present. SoftMaker's support team identifies Ashampoo Office as a reduced licensed version of its suite; this is not a licence for the full SoftMaker range.
DOCX, XLSX and PPTX are used as standard formats. TextMaker can embed fonts in DOCX files, while PlanMaker offers more than 350 calculation functions. PDF export is included. Test representative documents before switching, especially those with complex layout or automation. Ashampoo requires full administrator rights for use.
Activation and first steps
- Download the version named on this page from the link in your email and install it.
- Connect to the internet and enter the supplied key when the program requests activation; follow any Ashampoo account prompts.
- Open copies of your usual DOCX, XLSX and PPTX files, then check calculations, layout and exported PDFs before replacing your existing workflow.
If activation fails, check the installed version and paste the key again without extra spaces. Send the error message to Licendi by email or chat: within the 1-month activation guarantee, support helps or replaces a key that will not activate.
Version, updates and support
This purchase covers version 9, without a subscription renewal. A later major version is a separate paid upgrade, not included here. The reviewed Ashampoo documentation gives no fixed end-of-support date for this version; ongoing updates and compatibility with future Windows releases are not promised. Activation and recurring licence checks require internet access.
Questions before buying
Can five employees share one licence?
No. The five-PC allowance is for a single household. Commercial use requires one licence per installation; ask Licendi by email or chat for a multi-unit quote.
Is it a portable Office suite for any USB drive?
Portable deployment is not promised here. The published requirements call for full administrator rights; check your intended setup before buying.
Can I work without a cloud account?
Document work can be local and offline. Internet is still required for activation and recurring licence checks, so this is not a permanently disconnected installation.
Does it include Microsoft Office?
No. It supplies Ashampoo's applications, with support for Microsoft document formats. A Microsoft Office licence is a separate purchase.
