Windows 11 22H2 and its most interesting new features

The Windows 11 22H2 update has been awaited for a long time, due to the visual changes it brings, new features and even new programs that aim to improve your day-to-day life.

The great ClipChamp

So much for the famous Windows Movie Maker, from now on we have ClipChamp. Several fully customisable video templates are integrated with this program to inspire you when creating your videos. Clearly, this new program is nowhere near what professional editors use, but it's good enough for most home projects. In this case, you can mix and match video and audio files and also join an online community of creators to learn from.

New "Do Not Disturb Mode" in Windows 11 22H2

"Concentration" or "Do Not Disturb" modes are now available for comfortable working or studying. It is now enabled in Windows 11, when activated it automatically turns off all notifications and pop-up messages that appear in the taskbar. Additionally, these modes are now synchronised with the Clock application and you can set the concentration timer directly. Furthermore, it is also possible to highlight a specific duration for which the session can be set. This is the perfect way to apply the Pomodoro technique when studying or working to increase your productivity by implementing 50-minute sessions followed by appropriate breaks.

New task manager in Windows 11 22H2

On a visual level, this is a big change in the Windows 11 22H2 update. We already know that Microsoft is trying to adapt all of its long-standing applications to the new Windows 11 design, so it was a no-brainer for Task Manager to join the Fluent UI style. They also removed the tabs and now moved the start, performance and user apps to the left side of the screen.

In addition, there is a novel "efficiency mode" for those computers that are forced to their limits. This application manages to maximise all of the computer's resources to achieve the best possible performance.

Snap layouts

A feature that only works on Windows 11, now comes with a new layout to be better and can also be used on touch screens. This feature allows you to use programs in split screen or grid layouts. It is a very useful tool, when you have to work with several different programs simultaneously.

Start menu and Volume

Generally, you will find the icons of the apps you use most on the bottom of your screen or when you press the start button. But now you will be able to organise them better, by being able to group them into folders (in a similar way to Apple's operating systems).

On the other hand, now when you raise and lower the volume with the keyboard, a bar will appear at the bottom of the screen and not in the corners, as before. 

File Explorer in Windows 11 22H2

This new feature is yet to come: you will be able to have multiple tabs in the file explorer to avoid having multiple windows at the same time.

Just like a web browser, you can right-click on a folder or shortcut and it will open in another tab within the same window. Convenient, isn't it?

This is a new Windows 11 22H2 application that uses artificial intelligence to enhance the image and audio quality of your computer's webcam. 

From now on, video calls will be improved because in addition to an increase in quality, it will also be possible to blur the background and, depending on the computer, achieve automatic framing.
