History

Many years have passed since Kratos took revenge on the gods of Olympus. After surviving the last encounter with his father Zeus, Kratos has travelled to Midgard, to ancient Norway. He lives with his young son Atreus in the world of the Norse gods, a wilderness surrounded by monsters and fierce warriors in this wild land.But this quiet and sedentary life will not last long. His wife dies, leaving son and father alone. Therefore, Kratos must teach his son how to survive in the midst of fierce monsters and warriors. Kratos must master the rage that has driven him for many years as the god of war to become a father and mentor.

The new God of War is not only the best game in the series so far, with its redesigned battle system, updated camera, epic scope and incredible graphics. Like its characters, it reaches incredible new heights thanks to the inclusion of something none of the previous titles in the series really had: heart.This version of Kratos finally feels like a fully fledged character. As a result, he no longer seems like a one-dimensional character ruled by his rage. Rather, we see a deep, thoughtful soul that holds a lot of pain and anguish.With Atreus by his side, the game gives you constant hope that Kratos will eventually leave behind the burden that still haunts him (and we mean that literally: Kratos is visited by ghosts from his past on more than one occasion).Before it was hate and anger that fuelled Kratos' desire to fight, now he does it out of love.
