Installation Guide: Office Standard 2024 and Office Professional Plus 2024

Step 1: Preliminary preparations for installing the new Office suite

Before proceeding with the installation of the new Office suite, it is important to remove any previous versions of Office installed on your computer. You can do this from the Applications settings. Please note that this also applies if Windows is a fresh installation and Microsoft 365 has never been used.

Step 2: Download the file

Click on the file we have sent you in the same email where the license code is. The installation will start automatically.

Step 3: Enter the key

When the installation is complete and verified, you can enter the license key. To do this, open Word and select ‘File’ in the top left corner.

Then go to the ‘Account’ section, where you will see the option ‘Change product key’ on the right-hand side.

Make sure that the version of Office displayed is ‘Microsoft Office Professional Plus / Standard 2024’. If a different version is displayed, you will need to uninstall it before continuing. To remove all versions of Office from your computer completely, use the Easy Fix tool.

Enter your password in this section and click ‘Activate Office’.

Now restart your computer.

Step 4: Check that your Office is properly activated

Go back to ‘File’ > ‘Account’ and confirm that your Office 2024 has been activated.
